ENMU Announces Spring 2025 Concert featuring Platinum Selling Artist BRELAND

Portales, NM – December 13, 2024 – Continuing a tradition of bringing high-quality Country music acts that have graced the stage at Eastern New Mexico University’s Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena over the past half-century, ENMU is proud to welcome platinum selling artist/songwriter/producer BRELAND on Friday, March 29, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by JP Stone Community Bank.

“ENMU is excited to continue this tradition of bringing music to Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena for the campus and the Eastern New Mexico community,” said James Johnston, ENMU Chancellor.  “I look forward to a great community response and enjoying BRELAND’s music with everyone.”

BRELAND is the innovation of artistry within the landscape of Country music. Amassing 1.2 billion streams and still counting, BRELAND’s undeniable talent and bold fusion of genres broke tradition and limitations as his platinum certified debut single “My Truck” captivated hearts and catapulted him to notoriety where only a few go and remain.

Lauded by major outlets such as NPR, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone (who claims BRELAND is a standout who has reimagined “elements of Country, Hip Hop, R&B, Gospel and Pop – in a way that many have not experienced before”), BRELAND’s 2022 debut album Cross Country has amplified this star and served as the foundation for his relevance ever since.

Charismatic. Soulful. A truly one-of-a-kind artist with stadium-sized appeal, the multihyphenate hitmaker has many accolades, including winning the Academy of Country Music Lift Every Voice Award. BRELAND’s new EP, Project 2024, is a fusion of purpose and passion that is only the beginning of his next musical chapter.

The main opener for the show will be the Phil Hamilton Band. Currently based out of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and a mainstay in the high mountain town community music scene, Hamilton, who bases his music heavily on soul, R&B, country, and classic rock influences, released new music in 2024, including his new single Coyotes and Trains, which has seen regular rotation on the Texas Red Dirt Music Scene.

Opening the show will be Thomas Hinds. In a music industry aching for authenticity, Thomas Hinds is a hard-touring troubadour surviving on raw talent and a heartfelt folk-rock repertoire. Like most great artists, Hinds’ work is mainly autobiographical. It’s simply him: his heart and his life experience laid bare.

Eastern New Mexico University will host an event for ENMU students before the show featuring the ENMU student band “Say When.” A VIP event will also be featured for sponsors starting at 4:30 p.m.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale on Friday, Dec. 13, starting at 8 a.m., with tickets going on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Dec. 17. To purchase tickets, visit https://www.enmu.edu/Breland, call 575.562.2106, or stop by the information desk at the ENMU Campus Union Building.
