Shows are already selling out for a spectacular light show based around some of the most famous film scores in history. The Illuminated Orchestra’s tribute to Hans Zimmer and film favourites will be bringing four performances to Truro Cathedral on May 15 and 16.
Zimmer is a German film composer and music producer who has won two Academy Awards, a BAFTA, five Grammy Awards and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and a Tony Award. He is known for his composing of music for Gladiator and Inception among a number of other films.
The show will be jam-packed with cinema’s most iconic music, beautifully performed by a live chamber orchestra with a light show. Renditions include Avatar, Dune, ET, Gladiator, Harry Potter, James Bond, Star Wars and Jurassic Park.
People who have been to the show have described how it was “truly amazing” and a “true spectacle”. One person said: “Being a long-time John Williams and Hans Zimmer fan, it was a dream come true to hear this music played live.”
Another added: “First-class entertainment by first-class musicians.” Tickets for the show are already on sale with one date completely sold out.
