Exchange 106 Turns Ramadan Bazaar Into Business And Art Haven

Exchange 106, Malaysia’s iconic 106-floor skyscraper, is redefining commercial and cultural spaces with LAMBARK@EXCHANGE 106, an indoor Ramadan bazaar that integrates business, art, and community engagement.

This initiative, running until 30 March 2025, aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities – by fostering economic opportunities for small businesses and promoting local creative talents.

The bazaar features a curated selection of vendors, including Mira Cake House, Petite Le Tresor, Joud Auttor, and Minimaliz, offering artisanal products and culinary delights. Complementing the retail experience is an exclusive art showcase featuring eight Malaysian artists, including renowned figures such as Ismail Baba and Rasid Yusof. Their works address themes from cultural heritage to environmental conservation, adding an artistic dimension to the marketplace.

“Exchange 106’s support for local artists like myself is invaluable. This platform not only showcases our work but also connects us with buyers during Ramadan – a time of renewed community spirit,” said Ismail Baba.

He added, “Art has the power to spark conversations. Through this event, I hope my work will inspire people to think more deeply about cultural identity.”

The climate-controlled indoor setting provides a comfortable environment for visitors while enhancing the bazaar’s accessibility. Live performances by Cemara Band further enrich the experience, creating a dynamic cultural and commercial hub within Exchange 106.
