Allen Street Art and 42 North Announce Exciting New Collaboration to
Spotlight Local Artistic Talent
Buffalo, NY — July 23, 2024 — Allen Street Art, the freshly rebranded art
gallery space of Buffalo Big Print, proudly announces an exciting new
collaboration with 42 North Brewing Company to highlight and celebrate local
artistic talent. This initiative will take place at 42 North’s prime new location at
674 Main St in Buffalo’s vibrant Theater District.
This partnership underscores the immense importance of the arts in Buffalo
and aligns with Allen Street Art’s ongoing commitment to feature and amplify
the works of local artists. The collaboration with 42 North provides a unique
platform for artists to showcase their creativity in a stunning venue that attracts
significant foot traffic from theater-goers and art enthusiasts alike.
“We are thrilled to partner with 42 North to create an enriching environment
where local artists can display their work,” said Barrett Schwalenberg, the
owner of Allen Street Art. “Our aim is to provide a beautiful and accessible
space that not only highlights the incredible talent within our community but
also enhances the cultural fabric of Buffalo.”
With 42 North’s city location housed in the historic Wurlitzer Flats Building, it is
only fitting that the first exhibit features the architectural artwork of the talented
Elizabeth D’Amore. D’Amore explores the relationship between art and
documentation through the creation of hand-drafted, watercolor renderings of
Buffalo buildings reminiscent of the Beaux-Arts Tradition of architectural
presentation and has built up a substantial portfolio rooted in her love of
architecture. An opening reception for this exhibit took place July 10th and
featured a reveal of a new watercolor painting by D’Amore of the Wurlitzer
Flats
An artist talk is also scheduled for August 7th at 4pm to 6pm for anyone who
missed the opening reception.
In addition to regular exhibitions, the collaboration will include special events,
artist meet-and-greets, and interactive sessions designed to engage the public
and foster a deeper connection between the artists and the community.
