SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer, and with that came another summer tradition in Sioux Falls: the Falls Art Market.
It’s an event that gave local creators an opportunity to showcase their creations for the community.
Art on display included a variety of mediums including pottery, jewelry, photography, and wood and metal works.
“We decided to hold Falls Art Market just once this year. Our May show has always been the best, it’s a great kickoff to summer, and it is a lot of work running art shows. There are so many more art opportunities for artists that there weren’t when we started the show. It’s been fun, we’ve got 30 artists and it’s been a great event,” said organizer Lisa Myhre.
Saturday’s market ran from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at BronzeAge Art Casting. There will be a community iron pour event set for June 15.
