The First Friday ArtWalk, a collaborative event organized by the Flagstaff Business Alliance and Creative Flagstaff, is set to take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm in historic Downtown Flagstaff.
This monthly celebration offers an evening filled with art exhibitions, live performances, and opportunities to explore local businesses.
March’s ArtWalk will feature 15 participating businesses showcasing a diverse array of artistic mediums, including pottery, photography, jewelry, and paintings. Highlighted venues for this month’s event include:
- ART35N: This non-profit organization supports the arts in Northern Arizona. Visitors can enjoy artwork by members such as Bryan Cooperrider, glass artist Patricia Kearney, and painters Bill Anderson and Frederica. Location: Phoenix Avenue Gallery, 2 S. Beaver St. #125
- Tó Nizhóní Ání: Hosting their first Open House, they will feature local artist Corey Begay, who will discuss his latest mural, “Tó bee Iiná,” and share insights into his artistic journey across various mediums. Location: 408 E Rte 66.
- Culture Connection AZ: Presenting “Disappeared: An Interdisciplinary Exhibition,” which includes art, poetry, music, and historical narratives focusing on forced disappearances and global justice movements. The opening reception offers libations and light hors d’oeuvres, with free entry and a suggested $10 donation at the door. Location: 201 E Birch Ave.
- Arizona Handmade Gallery/Fire on the Mountain: Showcasing the vibrant still life paintings of Elaine Dillingham, accompanied by music from Jimmy DeBlois from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Location: 20 N. San Francisco St.
- West of the Moon Gallery: Featuring “Expressions in Art” by Diane Eide, known for her colorful oils, watercolors, and pastels. The reception includes music by the Wild Irish Fiddler, Kate Rose. Location: 14 N. San Francisco St.
- Artists’ Gallery: Presenting “Fiber Wood and Paint,” an exhibition featuring whimsical landscapes by Megan Kelly, unique wood designs by Steve Halgrimson, animal paintings by Mary Carter, and quilt and silk paintings by Joan Scott. Location: 17 N. San Francisco St.
- Meadowlark Art Studio: Celebrating its grand opening with Erika Tsouras’ vibrant watercolor paintings on wood. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks while learning about upcoming art classes for both youth and adults. Location: 115 E. Birch Ave.
Additional participants include Noble Herb, Yogaert, DSB Beer Garden, Drinking Horn Meadery, Up & Coming Boutique & Lounge, Bright Side Bookshop, Late for the Train, Historic Barrel + Bottle House, Phoenix Avenue Gallery, Shane Knight Gallery, Pay ‘N Take Downtown Market, and Weatherford Hotel. Each venue offers unique artistic experiences, making the ArtWalk a vibrant and diverse event.
Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes to fully enjoy the array of exhibitions and performances throughout Downtown Flagstaff. Many venues extend their hours beyond 9:00 PM, allowing the ArtWalk celebrations to continue into the night.
