‘Friends’ show at Arts Guild of Sonoma celebrates collaboration

Arts Guild of Sonoma members invited non-member friends and mentors to share the exhibit space for an inguaural show running Aug. 28 to Sept. 30.

The Arts Guild of Sonoma’s upcoming exhibition, “Friends,” will showcase a collaboration between existing Arts Guild members and their invited artist friends.

It opens on Aug. 28 and runs through Sept. 30 at the Arts Guild of Sonoma at 140 East Napa St. An opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 5, coincides with the First Thursday Art Walk of Sonoma and is open to the public.

This innovative show allows members of the Arts Guild of Sonoma to extend their exhibit space to artists who are not currently affiliated with the Guild.

“We’re excited to host the ‘Friends’ art show, which embodies the spirit of camaraderie and mutual support within our artistic community,” said Margery Mayer, president of the Arts Guild of Sonoma. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for our members to share their exhibit space with talented artists outside our membership, fostering new connections and enriching our local arts scene.”

The exhibition will feature diverse artworks, including paintings, mixed media pieces, curated by the artists in a dynamic display that reflects the collaborative efforts and artistic diversity thriving in Sonoma County.

Participating friends and Arts Guild members include:

BJ Beck — Candi Edmondson
