From Bang Si-hyuk to ENHYPEN’s Jay: All unexpected J.Y. Park X HYBE artist collaboration at the 2024 Weverse Con

On June 16, J.Y. Park surprised the fans with some unexpected events at the 2024 Weverse Con. The Weverse Con saw the veteran singer collaborate with multiple HYBE artists for the ‘JYP Tribute Stage.’

The founder of JYP Entertainment not only performed with the K-pop groups housed under HYBE such as ILLIT, BOYNEXTDOOR, ENHYPEN, TWS, etc. but also unveiled a stage with the agency’s Chairman, Bang Si-hyuk. While fans were aware of the long-running friendship between J.Y. Park and Bang Si-hyuk, the audience and netizens, both, were surprised by the unexpected stage collaboration.

What fans were most confused about was the fact that the collaborative stage took place between two different agencies. Given that J.Y. Park is the founder and CEO of JYP Entertainment, netizens wondered why he didn’t collaborate with the new and existing artists under his own label. Regardless, given that the performances were quite entertaining to watch, netizens enjoyed the same.
