Vendor registration is open now for the Gifted Summer Art Market, being held on July 9th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jubilee Park.
Just for the summer version of the market, which is not limited by an indoor space, the Weyburn Arts Council (WAC) has decided to open up registration to all types of vendors, and not just those who hand-make their items.
“Because we’re an arts organization, of course, preference is given to artists,” said WAC Communications Chair Tasha Hill. “Artists’ booths will be a $60 registration fee and then all other booths are $100.”
She said they’ll likely feature a section just for the artists, with another for the retailers.
“For our summer Gifted, we’re going with this format, and then for our winter Gifted, we will return to the original handmade, just because of the space availability. So why not pack the park?”
Hill noted this year’s event will also have the Weyburn Firefighters Association manning their barbecue to provide food for the sale and to raise funds.
“We don’t charge other non-profit organizations for registration. Because the Weyburn Arts Council is a registered nonprofit, we like to support other nonprofits in the community when we can. The proceeds from our winter and summer Gifted art markets go back to support local initiatives in the community as well as fund our ReGifted Scholarship program. So all the money that we take in for registrations gets returned back into the community.”

The registration deadline for all vendors is June 15th, which gives WAC the chance to create their vendor maps.
“We extending it a little bit because we have space. The 15th is our hard deadline and if you want to apply after that, and we have space, then there is a late filing charge.”
“We’ve gone primarily to utilizing Jotform for all of our registrations and signups. All of that information is available on our Instagram and Facebook pages, and if you just look up Weyburn Art Gallery or Weyburn Arts Council, it will pop up,” she explained.
