Historic Park City marks start of holiday season with events, art, and small business Saturday – TownLift, Park City News

PARK CITY, UTAH — Historic Park City is set to launch its holiday season with a slate of community events that include art exhibits, live performances, and seasonal activities. November’s calendar includes Small Business Saturday, festive lighting on Main Street, and cultural offerings coordinated by the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA).

“November opens with Fashion’s First Friday hosted by our local boutiques, followed by concerts and live shows, and wraps with our monthly Park City Art & Music Gallery Stroll,” said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of HPCA. “Small Business Saturday is the perfect time to support our local merchants, enjoy the season’s Snow Globe Stroll, and experience Main Street’s holiday spirit.”

November Events in Historic Park City

Fashion’s First Friday
Nov. 1, 4–7 p.m.
Local boutiques along Main Street will offer extended hours, refreshments, and exclusive shopping events.

The Egyptian Theatre Performances
The theater will present Sweeney Todd (Nov. 1–3), The Del McCoury Band (Nov. 7–9), Pam Tillis Trio (Nov. 14–16), The Lil Smokies (Nov. 21–23), and Annie (Nov. 26 – Dec. 1).

Bridgette Meinhold’s Art Exhibit at Gallery MAR
Nov. 8
The “Embodied” exhibit showcases encaustic and cold wax paintings that explore identity and landscape in the American West.

Aerial Mining Trams Lecture
Nov. 13, 5–6 p.m.
A lecture at the Park City Museum will explore the history and influence of aerial mining trams on the region’s mining and ski industries.

Park City Museum Free Day
Nov. 16, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Admission to the Park City Museum will be free. The museum offers exhibits on the city’s history as a silver mining town and ski destination.

Snow Globe Stroll and Thanksgiving Specials
Nov. 28 – Jan. 2
Seven life-sized snow globes created by local artists will be displayed along Main Street. On Thanksgiving, area restaurants will also offer dining specials.

Small Business Saturday and Main Street Holiday Lighting
Nov. 30
The holiday lights on Main Street will be illuminated at 5:30 p.m., and live holiday music will accompany the celebration. Shoppers are encouraged to support local businesses throughout the day.
