HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – An Horry County man is facing serious allegations after allegedly using social media for the sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Horry County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 19-year-old George Conner Edd on Dec. 11 after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The tip alleged that Edd was conducting criminal activity using Kik.
He’s charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was booked at the J Reuben Long Detention Center but has since been released on a $7,500 bond.
The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office will prosecute this case.
