Nigerian afrobeats singer, Joeboy has opened up about how reserved he is, stressing that he can even do away with social media for a long time.
The songwriter told Chrystal Kwame-Aryee on 3FM Drive that if not for his music career, he would not have on any social media platform.
According to him, he would not even be vibrant on WhatsApp, one of the common social networking app.
“For sure, 100 percent. If I wasn’t making music, I would not have social media account. You will probably see me on WhatsApp and I will not be posting anything, maybe my profile picture will be there for like four years ago without any update, that’s the kind of person I am. I can do without social media,” he said.
Joeboy further explained that his current presence on social media is only to promote his music brand and his craft, if not he wouldn’t have been on the platform.
“If you have a brand or business to sell, I totally understand that. You have to be online, keep people updated about what is going on and that is very important.
“But for me if I wasn’t doing any of that, I not go dey social media at all,” he added.
The ‘Alcohol’ hitmaker said aside working on his music when he’s off social media, he works out, read books, travels, watching documentaries and researching.
