Iconic Louisville bar The Back Door selling everything including the wall art

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An iconic bar near Louisville’s Highlands may be gone, but you can own a piece of its history.

The owners of The Back Door plan to sell everything from glassware to the pool tables to the caricatures on the walls.

The bar located in the Mid City Mall operated for nearly four decades until its original owner passed away last fall. John Dant’s family announced last week that it was shutting down the bar immediately.

An estate sale is planned June 14-23 at The Back Door at 1250 Bardstown Road.

Brokers Unlimited Auctioneers posted information online promoting the sale as “39 years of memories from The Back Door Louisville, Ky.”
