Kmart has launched its latest homewares collaboration with an Indigenous artist as part of its First Nations program.
Rachael Sarra’s Spirit Entwining collection starts at $5 and includes bed linen, décor, dining and furnishing products which will arrive in store and online Thursday March 13.
Sarra’s art features her signature contemporary style with striking pinks and purples, which you’ll see in the range.

“I believe in the power that art plays to tell a story and to allow people to explore complex ideas in an engaging and inclusive way. As a First Nations artist from Goreng Goreng Country, I draw on my heritage to produce pieces that are steeped in culture, while being contemporary and future facing,” Sarra said.
Spirit Entwining is the result of a collaboration between Sarra and Kmart’s design team, which is based in Melbourne.
Each piece is an authentic representation of Sarra’s vision to create beautiful products that also have a purpose.
“Partnering with Kmart has been a deeply rewarding experience. This collection reflects my heritage and story in a way that feels bold, accessible, and true to my vision. Kmart’s unwavering dedication to authenticity and cultural respect throughout this journey has been profoundly meaningful to me,” Sarra said.

The new range follows previous collaborations with Indigenous artists including Wiradjuri artist Judith Young for the Waluwin collection in 2023 and Dharug and Darkinjung artist Kyralee Shields for the Ngurrawa collection in 2024.
It’s been a busy couple of months for Kmart with the recent launch of the February living range, which featured a huge drop of new décor, kitchen and diningware and bedding.

But the most exciting addition is the expansion of Kmart’s furniture range in response to customer demand.
“Furniture has been part of our range for a long time, however customers are looking for, and we want to be able to offer, the complete solution [for the home],” Nicholas Holmes, Kmart’s home buyer told 9honey Living at the launch event.
“With the cost of things being so high at the moment, the areas we can expand into help the customer finish spaces and [create] functional spaces with us. So the real gap was with the functional things people can’t afford but they want to be able to finish a room so it might be an entertainment unit or a TV cabinet, storage solutions, bigger pieces.”
