Listen Up: Here’s How to Buy Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘GUTS’ Tour Tickets Before They All Sell Out

Attention all teens and twenty-something teens: it’s time to spill your guts. Back in September 2023, Olivia Rodrigo announced her GUTS World Tour (!!!), which prompted fans everywhere to focus on totally not getting buried alive in the wretched Ticketmaster queue. It also meant we, the people, could possibly be getting the chance to listen to the musician’s beautiful album—which Rolling Stone declared a 100 percent perfect instant classic—live.

Olivia is one of the only artists I’d go through this painful process for. (I managed to snag pit tickets for Sour Tour while shaking and sucking down espressos in my university’s library during finals week, so I’m confident I can do it again.) Like, can you imagine screaming with Olivia to “All American Bitch”?? A necessity.

Before we begin, just know that early registration is sadly officially closed

*Le sigh* Sadly, Olivia’s GUTS world tour registration is now closed for the 2024 concert dates on Ticketmaster. However, it *is* worth noting that registering didn’t necessarily guarantee you’d get tickets for your preferred date, though it did give you the chance to purchase a ticket—more on this in a sec.

Due to the wildly high demand (and bots, ugh), you needed to register and be approved by Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 10 p.m. ET in order to buy tickets as soon as they dropped. (P.S. Even if you didn’t get approved by that deadline, you were likely placed on a waitlist!)

On Wednesday, September 20, those selected were emailed a link and an access code. You were also able to register for early access if you were planning on paying with an American Express credit card. If selected via that option, your approval email would have arrived on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Btw, the link to register was here.

Here’s when GUTS Tour tickets initially went on sale

Ticket sales for the American Express Early Access took place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, and the regular registered ticket sale was on the following day aka on Thursday, September 21.

Tickets were available on a first come, first serve basis, so no one was guaranteed tickets, even after registering and being approved.

How much are GUTS Tour tickets? Well….

According to Ticketmaster, standard tickets on its site cost anywhere from $49.50-$199.50, plus taxes and fees. There were also a limited amount of Charity Platinum and VIP packages, and those proceeds were donated to Olivia’s Fund 4 Good organization, meaning they were likely a bit pricier.

Sadly, you can only score GUTS tickets one way now

And that would be the resale route! After all, the stars don’t always align when you’re trying to score concert tickets—it’s a fact of life we know all too well. 😭 So sprint on over to the following resale sites to check prices before they skyrocket. Good luck!

Here are some handy tips and tricks to help you score Ticketmaster seats for your next concert—yw!

You know I’m always happy to share my wisdom with you guys (but don’t tell anybody else 🤫). Follow me right this way.

Make sure to update your Ticketmaster account beforehand

To make sure everything runs as quickly and smoothly as possible, it’s a good idea to add all the crucial stuff to your account now, like your card info. That way you can click “add to cart” and buy tickets without anxiously typing in the moment and risking a typo. Truly a nightmare.

Get online early

I’m talking, like, a little over half an hour early. The Ticketmaster waiting room opens 30 minutes early, so you should already be prepared to log in and do your thing.

Move fast, duh!

It is every girlie for herself in the Ticketmaster queue, so there’s literally no time to stress. Take a look at the seating map ahead of time and have an idea of what seats you’d like, but also be prepared for those seats to be sold out by the time you get your pick. No matter where you sit, it’s definitely going to be an *amazing* show.

Don’t buy more than three tickets

I’m sure you and the group chat all want to go watch a concert together, but you shouldn’t purchase everyone’s ticket together. The more tickets you try buying, the more difficult of a time you’re going to have, so it’s best to aim for getting 1-3.

Happy ticket hunting!
