London’s Auctions In Review

The first marquee auctions of the year were held in London last week and the results suggest that the market has yet to warm up. Of the major houses’ evening sales, Christie’s outperformed Sotheby’s, totaling $166.6 million across 72 lots, while Sotheby’s much smaller sale netted $78.6 million across 38 lots.
