Maserati MC20 Cielo Fragment: new collaboration with a Japanese artist

After a landmark collaboration in 2021 for a Ghibli, with Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Japanese street culture icon and founder of Fragment Design, the Trident brand is repeating its partnership with this designer, this time to customize its flagship supercar: the Maserati MC20. This new collaboration is part of the customization program. Fuoriseriean exclusive collection of made-to-measure cars.

The spirit of Fuoriserie with Hiroshi Fujiwara

As a reminder, the Fuoriserie from Maserati embodies the very essence of personalization, allowing customers to create unique cars. This time, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Maserati have taken this approach to the next level with the Maserati MC20 Cielo, a supercar that transforms itself into a rolling work of art. Available in two contrasting configurations – one in Nero Vulcano with a matt black Fragment symbol, the other in Bold white with the same symbol in matt white – this MC20 becomes a bespoke suit that embodies the spirit of the brand and Fujiwara’s distinctive touch.

The Japanese artist replaces the historic Trident for the first timethe emblematic symbol of Maserati, by the logo Fragment Two stylized eclairs, a bold choice that underlines the fusion between Maserati luxury and the rebellious spirit of street culture.

Inside, the Maserati MC20 Cielo Fuoriserie features black leather sports seats with white stitching. Trident-embroidered headrests and a black Alcantara steering wheel with white stitching reinforce the car’s refined look. A metal plate between the headrests celebrates the collaboration between Hiroshi Fujiwara and Maserati.

The aim of Maserati and Hiroshi Fujiwara with this project is to allow customers to personalize their own vision of the Italian luxury supercarby creating a rolling work of art that reflects their imagination, passion and unique style. As Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati, says: “We want every customer to be able to create a Maserati as an extension of their personality.”

The Fuoriserie by Hiroshi Fujiwara configurations are available on request for the Maserati MC20 Cielo. Each customized vehicle becomes a collector’s item.
