Ahead of the ACM Awards every year, a few honors are announced prior to the ceremony.
While Frisco, Texas, is starting to fill up with stars performing and hosting this year’s awards, a few other artists are beginning to celebrate. Megan Moroney is your 2024 New Female Artist of the Year.
The six-time ACM Award nominee is starting her week on a high note with this one in the bag. Moroney has also been nominated for Female Artist of the Year, Music Event of the Year, Song of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year.
Moroney was presented the Award while doing a kick-off performance for ACM Week in Frisco, Texas.
“OMG I’M NOT OKAY!!!!!!! Thank you, ACM Award, for the honor & huge thank you to my fans (y’all were insane last night)… best in the world.. so so grateful.”
Moroney had a whirlwind of a year, releasing her album Lucky in 2023, and less than a year after that release, announcing her forthcoming album Am I Okay? With her stardom growing every day, Moroney is gaining Swifite-like fans, capturing the hearts of women in the crowd as she belts her breakup songs and songs about loser ex-boyfriends.
On top of what she has been laying down in the studio, Moroney has been on the road with Kenney Chesney, opening during his Sun Goes Down Tour, along with hitting the festivals throughout the summer.
I’m not sure how Moroney has managed to do it all this past year. When she’s not on the stage, she’s in the studio. And when she’s not in the studio, she’s on a bus or at an awards show. Her schedule is go, go, go.
This award is well deserved for Moroney, as she has been hustling to reach this point. Now, she is letting the industry know that she will be a force to be reckoned with. Hopefully, Moroney will leave the awards show on Thursday with a few more trophies in her hand.
The ACM Awards will stream exclusively on Prime Video on Thursday, May 16th at 8 p.m. EST from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
