Without the arts there would be no expression of culture, no imagination and no human connection.

Without business there would be no innovation, a lack of resources and demands that could not be met.

Teton River Arts and Commerce is bridging the gap between the two through shared experiences and arts opportunities.

Emily Miller is the founder, president and director of Teton River Arts and Commerce. She created the non-profit in June. Her goal is simple, “to promote the arts organizations in the community and all of the things that they’re already doing,” she says.

Teton River Arts and Commerce is committed to providing opportunities for people to participate in the arts. As well as to provide opportunities for local businesses to link up with arts organizations.

Collaboration between commerce and the arts will not only benefit individuals but also Rexburg as a whole.

“We’re working on a Christmas program that will feature local musicians,” Miller says. “We’re working with Rexburg Arts on a program for February where we’ll bring people together to sing together in a kind of a one-day choir experience.”

You don’t have to own a business or be involved in the arts to join the non-profit. You can join as a member of the organization, which would include you in their directory.

Most of the arts organizations in Rexburg have joined Teton River Arts and Commerce. Miller describes Teton River Arts and Commerces’ website as a “one stop shop for finding what’s going on in the arts in Rexburg.”
