New Zealand Artists Join Pink Floyd Icon for Landmark Collaboration

Following the announcement of legendary saxophonist Scott Page’s upcoming visit to Christchurch, Exchange Christchurch Charitable Trust and The Cetacea Foundation are proud to unveil the exceptional lineup of New Zealand artists who will join the Pink Floyd icon on stage.

This collaboration represents an unprecedented opportunity for local musicians to work alongside an international legend while showcasing New Zealand’s extraordinary talent on a global platform.

The ensemble accompanying Scott Page for ‘Beyond Time: A Night with Scott Page’ on April 9th includes:

● Michael Sutherland (Musical Director) – A respected recording engineer, musician, and loop-pedal artist who has worked with some of Aotearoa’s biggest musical acts and pioneered music for float tanks and psychedelic therapy

● Calla – An operatically trained soprano, violinist, and producer who has performed extensively throughout Aotearoa and received the prestigious Dame Malvina Major South Island Arts Excellence Award

● Nikau Te Huki – The visionary artist behind Casual Healing, whose self-produced debut album received widespread acclaim including features on Rolling Stone Australia

● Finn Mitchell-Anyon – A multi-talented composer, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work transcends traditional boundaries from orchestral compositions to interactive audio installations

● Phil Gadsby – An exceptional bass guitarist who brings fascinating dual expertise as both a musician and rocket scientist, currently serving as a Projects Engineer at the University of Canterbury

● Jono Blackie – A dynamic and versatile drummer renowned for his precision and adaptability, whose solo endeavor DOGJOC showcases his ability to fuse intricate rhythms with innovative soundscapes

● Khailana – An ethereal pop artist from Wellington who crafts genre-bending music built on intricate layers of vocals, experimental production, and otherworldly lyricism

“This represents a serious recognition of Aotearoa’s musical excellence,” says Mango Dogwood, event organizer. “Scott has performed with rock’s greatest legends, and now these artists will be sharing that same stage. The list of artists Scott Page has worked with includes Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Toto, and now will include this group of amazing New Zealanders” The collaboration will go beyond performance to include creative workshops and knowledge exchange, creating a professional development opportunity that parallels Page’s experience collaborating with multiple Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
