A Nigerian-born artist Tiffany-Annabelle is back with a transformative solo exhibition, called “Women in Bloom”.
This exhibition which will be held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, marks a triumphant homecoming after her successful exhibition in Ghana last year where her work captured the attention of Ghana’s First Lady.
For Tiffany-Annabelle, ‘Women in Bloom’ is a powerful message about celebration and the embracing of a woman’s evolution, highlighting her inherent strength.
The ten-piece exhibit is a development from her sold-out debut ‘MissAligned’, tracing a journey of growth and self-discovery with the current female subjects having blossomed.
They embody enjoyment, confidence, and fulfillment, having found their paths to success. For the first time, the artist introduces a male figure, interacting with the women in her pieces.
The male form artfully rendered melting into a female which symbolizes the profound impact a woman living her truth can have on the opposite sex.
Furthermore, the women in Tiffany-Annabelle’s work are surrounded by African flowers:
a powerful exploration of their rootedness in their power and identity. Her signature use of triangles is still a constant in her work and if you look closely appears hidden in different areas.
“Women in Bloom” showcases Tiffany-Annabelle’s artistic growth and the evolution of her distinctive style; her dedication to experimentation is evident in her meticulous six-month exploration of techniques and materials, resulting in the captivating interplay of charcoal, and oil pastel on brown paper.
The “Women in Bloom” exhibition is scheduled to be held from 9 – 16th May 2024 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, where guests will witness the evolution of her artistic expression.
