— Park Drive will perform at the Saturday Art Market, located at the Big Ole Central Park, on August 31. This will be the final Saturday Art Market of the summer.
Park Drive is a folk rock trio based in Alexandria. The band consists of musicians Abram Heyn (vocals, guitar and bass), Rebecca Heyn (vocals, keyboard and accordion) and newcomer Edwin Heyn (drums). “They play a variety of genres and include original songs so there is something for everyone,” says the press release.
Organized by the Alexandria Arts Guild, the Art Market has offered the opportunity for locals and visitors to gather at Big Ole Central Park on the north end of Broadway in Alexandria every Saturday during the summer.

Attendees will be able to visit with local artists and shop their offerings. Coffee and food items will be available near the market, and there will be live music to enjoy.
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
