Platinum-selling singer cancels rest of shows to focus on health

British pop singer PinkPantheress, best known for her platinum-certified single “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2″ with Ice Spice, appears to be putting herself first by taking what sounds like a much-needed break from touring.

The 23-year-old broke the news on her Instagram story Thursday, Aug. 1.

“It is with the heaviest heart that I sadly have to announce that I will not be able to continue with the rest of my live shows this year in order to focus on my physical health and overall wellbeing,” PinkPantheress wrote. “It appears I have reached a wall which I am struggling to penetrate through.”

This means that PinkPantheress will no longer make appearances on Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS” tour as well at music festivals Field Day, Summer Sonic and III Points.

The singer was also supposed to open for Coldplay on the band’s “Music Of The Spheres World Tour” in Australia and New Zealand.

“I would like to thank all of you, as well as my touring team and Olivia for giving me the platform to perform some super fun shows,” PinkPantheress wrote. “I’m sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other’s company once I return to health.”

PinkPantheress, whose real name is Victoria Beverley Walker, first opened for Rodrigo at her July 19 show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
