The record was announced on her Facebook account on Wednesday.
“I’m thankful to my fans for their constant support, making this achievement possible,” Tam wrote in the accompanying caption.
In addition to this record, Tam is the first Vietnamese female artist with four music videos each exceeding 100 million views on YouTube. These include “Dau Chi Rieng Em” (I Am Not the Only One), “Nguoi Hay Quen Em Di” (Please Forget Me), “Dung Hoi Em” (Don’t Ask Me), and “Dung Cung Thanh Sai” (The Right Becomes the Wrong).
Since launching her YouTube channel on Nov. 20, 2013, Tam has uploaded 481 videos, primarily music videos and behind-the-scenes footage from her concerts and live performances, and gained 2.4 million followers.
Tam also has the distinction of being the first Vietnamese artist honored twice by Spotify’s global EQUAL campaign, a program promoting gender equity in the music industry.
A veteran singer from the coastal city of Da Nang, Tam, 43, has received multiple awards, including honors from South Korea’s Mnet Asian Music Awards, the Top Asia Corporate Ball, and Big Apple Music Awards.
She is also recognized for her work as an actress and movie producer.
