Pulaski Tech, Rockley Family Foundation to sell pianos and raise money for music scholarships

The University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College and the Rockley Family Foundation are selling pianos to help raise scholarship money for music students.

A large selection — grands, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical (upright) pianos, hybrid pianos and digital pianos — will be available.

The sale will include starter to professional-level instruments from such makers as Yamaha, Bösendorfer, Seiler, Clavinova and “a discrete selection of vintage Steinway & Sons pianos,” according to a news release. Most instruments are less than one-year old, tuned and include a new factory warranty.

Delivery and no-interest financing is available on site, according to the news release. In most cases, the news release stated, a substantial portion of a purchase is considered a charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation and may be tax deductible.

The special private sale is scheduled by appointment-only July 11-13 by calling (501) 813-5218.

The event will be held at Pulaski Tech’s main campus in the Center for Arts and Humanities Building, 3000 West Scenic Drive, North Little Rock. Directions and event details (including “virtual appointment” options) are available at www.RockleyFamilyFoundation.org/UAPTC.

The Rockley Family Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded by Tobin and Liane Rockley. The foundation’s purpose is to bring music education to schools and students in need. The foundation raises money for music scholarships and donates musical instruments, according to the organization’s website.
