SHIRLEY, Ill. (WMBD) –Artists traveled from all over the Midwest to showcase their creations at the annual Pop Spring Art Market.
The Artists of the Corn held its 3rd Annual Pop Art Market at Funk Farms in Shirley. The market featured paintings, blown glass, jewelry and many other one of a kind creations.
Sarah Flemming with Artists of the Corn said getting regional artists together in one spot doesn’t happen often.
“The big regional artist event is what we’re trying to bring out here and draw all the smaller communities and all the bigger communities around. And we think that’s special because, you know, you don’t see a lot of that out in the rural areas,” said Flemming.
She said they had artists travel from Wisconsin, St. Louis and Springfield. They’ll hold their fall show in November.
