Retford Art Gallery Overwhelmed by Community Support

Art Gallery Customers Form Human Chain

Limited 2 Art, an art gallery in Retford, put a call out to help with its relocation within the town, and was overwhelmed by the remarkable support of its local community and dedicated customers.

Over 50 art lovers came together, in the form of a human chain, to move 300 art and sculpture pieces from the old premises to the new, just 300 feet away. This impressive effort showcases the strong community spirit in the Nottinghamshire town.

Ruth Stone, owner of Limited 2 Art commented: “I am overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our remarkable town and our equally fabulous customers. We had people come from four different counties to help, and their support really does show the true essence of community spirit and the profound impact art can have on us all.”

This is a significant milestone for Limited 2 Art, with the new premises expanding the gallery space sixfold. The newly revamped premises will eventually span over three floors, making it the largest UK gallery of its kind. This expansion will provide a larger platform for both established and emerging UK artists to showcase their talent and creativity.
