RIIZE has hit a major milestone with their latest release. On June 17 at 6 p.m. KST, the rookie group dropped their first mini album, “RIIZING,” featuring the title track “Boom Boom Bass.”
In an impressive feat, less than four days later, Hanteo Chart announced that “RIIZING” had sold over 1 million copies. This makes it RIIZE’s fastest album to reach the million-seller mark.
This achievement follows the success of their debut single album, “Get A Guitar,” which also surpassed 1 million sales in its first week.With two back-to-back million-sellers, RIIZE is quickly establishing themselves as a powerhouse in the music industry.
RIIZE, formed by SM Entertainment, debuted on September 4, 2023, and consists of seven members: Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton. The group’s name symbolizes “Rise” and “Realize,” reflecting their mission to grow together and achieve their dreams.
Their debut single album, “Get A Guitar,” also surpassed 1 million first-week sales, marking a strong start for the group.
Before their official debut, RIIZE collaborated with Kakao Entertainment to release the web novel “Rise & Realize” on August 19, 2023. They performed at KCON LA on August 20 and dropped their pre-release single “Memories” on August 21.
RIIZE signed with RCA Records to promote their music in the United States and announced their fan club name as SUNZ, later changed to BRIIZE. Their official broadcast debut occurred on M Countdown on September 7, where they performed “Get a Guitar,” “Memories,” and “Siren.”
Continuing their rapid rise, RIIZE released “Talk Saxy” on October 27 and “Love 119” on January 5, 2024, earning their first music show wins shortly after. The Japanese version of “Love 119,” marking their debut in Japan, followed on January 24.
In April, the group released the full version of their teaser “Siren,” part of their mini album “RIIZING.” The EP features singles “Impossible,” “9 Days,” “Honestly,” and “One Kiss.” They also announced their fan-con tour “Riizing Day,” with dates spanning May 4 to August 31 across nine countries.
With their impressive sales and growing international presence, RIIZE is well on their way to realizing their dreams.
