Salmon Arm residents have the opportunity to purchase previously owned art pieces at the Salmon Arm Art Gallery’s annual Off the Wall fundraiser event.
The event begins on Saturday, Nov. 16.
“Amazing works from local, regional and international artists have been donated to the Art Gallery over the past five years, and we have such gratitude for the folks who have been downsizing and donating these works to us,” said Tracey Kutschker, curator of the Salmon Arm Arts Centre and Art Gallery.
“It is important to us that we value artists and art service providers, so fundraising to support the Exhibition program is critical.”
Available works include paintings, drawings, pottery, fibre arts and mixed media. Every piece available has been previously purchased from the artists and will go on sale for prices between $25 and $200.
There will also be a wall dedicated to 12 special pieces which will be presented at a live auction event.
The Kids Only Gallery will feature artworks from local youth, sold for $5 each.
The Off the Wall exhibition will kick off with an opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Live Auction and Dance Party will take place on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m.
The Salmon Arm Arts Centre and Gallery is located at 70 Hudson Ave. NE, and gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
Gallery admission is by donation.
