MERRILLVILLE — Southlake Mall celebrated its 50th anniversary Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Established in 1974, this destination has been “a community staple to generations, evolving with the times while maintaining its commitment to providing a diverse and memorable shopping experience.”
Leading up to the anniversary celebration, Southlake Mall invited the community to submit photos of the mall over the years. Southlake included photos of the shopping center since 1974.
At Wednesday’s celebration, Hobart Mayor Josh Huddlestun presented Southlake Mall General Manager Peter Karonis with a certificate of recognition for 50 years of business.
