Taylor Swift fans are going wild at the possibility of a SZA collaboration. The Kill Bill singer hinted at a potential collab between the two musicians in an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, with SZA saying the pair spoke at the Grammy Awards.
The Cruel Summer singer is said to be working on her next album, which comes off the back of her hugely successful world-wide Eras Tour. Taylor stopped in 51 cities across 21 countries and pulled off a staggering 149 three-hour-long performances. If that wasn’t enough, the pop star is now reportedly working on her 12th studio album – and there may be a track featuring SZA, NME reports. “It’s so interesting to me,” SZA said.
“Every time she walks up to me or approaches me, I’m just like, ‘All right, this is happening, because that’s fully Taylor Swift’. I think what I mentioned was that I would love to write with her and love to build some things together.”
“I love her storytelling. She was open to it,” the artist added. “I think she’s awesome. She’s so bossed up.”

Fans are overwhelmingly excited at the prospect, with one saying: “Someone lock them in a studio omg.” In a similar vein, another said: “Lock them in the studio until they write a whole album.”
Someone else added: “A collab between these two would literally break the internet,” while another branded them “two of the greatest songwriters of our generation”.
In Friday’s discussion with Hudson, SZA also praised Chappell Road, Doechii and Gracie Abrams for their storytelling. “There’s something about that type of storytelling. It’s a deep inner storytelling that reflects their human experience and it reflects that.”
SZA is set to join Kendrick Lamar on a joint tour next month, which kicks off in Minneapolis on April 19. After giving fans a taste of what to expect during Kendrick’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, SZA said she is “really excited” to learn from the rapper while on the road.
She said: “I get to pick different tips and watch how he carries himself, how he emotes. To watch him perform is to witness something magical.”
SZA went on to say: “One time he gave me the pointer of pretending to watch myself from above. He sees himself while he’s performing, and it actually changed a lot for me.
“It was weird, when I was watching myself from afar, I was like, ‘this not what I want to see, I want to see something different. I want to turn up.’ Then I just started, like, invoking a completely different energy and spirit within myself.”
Life is just as busy for Taylor Swift, who is reportedly set to drop a brand new album at the end of this year, with yet another tour on the table for 2026. A source at AEG told Express.co.uk: “Taylor is in the development stages of her new album which will be released at the end of the year. She wrote songs backstage on her last tour and bosses at AEG have been told to prepare themselves for another tour in 2026.”
The upcoming album is said to be about the 35-year-old’s relationship with Travis Kelce and friend Blake Lively.
