Meta’s Threads continues to grow. During an investor report, Mark Zuckerberg said that the social network has 320 million monthly active users, up from 300 million last month and 275 million in November, TechCrunch reports.
In addition, Zuckerberg noted that about a million users register on Threads every day.
Meta is working to attract more users to Threads by regularly introducing new features, such as scheduling posts, adding music to posts, implementing Community Notes, and more.
Meta’s CFO, Susan Lee, also noted that Threads is implementing several updates to its recommendation systems, which are aimed at “increasing the priority for the most recent posts, showcasing content from the best authors, and ensuring that users see more content from the accounts they follow.”
This rate of growth in the number of active users underscores Meta’s competitiveness in the saturated social media market, including Bluesky, Mastodon, X, and others.
For example, the decentralized social network Bluesky from the Twitter founder is currently experiencing a significant decline in new users after explosive growth of 189% in November 2024.
