A HAT supporting Donald Trump made of gold and worth $15,000 has been unveiled at a grassroots Republican rally in Washington DC.
The 3D-printed hat, emblazoned with the slogan “Make America Great Again,” was displayed at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, which in recent years has been a gathering place for Donald Trump‘s diehard supporters.
Jeff Hamilton, who goes by the artist name Xbala, told The U.S. Sun the story behind the bizarre memento as he showed it off in the corridor outside the assembly room where Trump will address his followers on Saturday.
“The story is ‘Make America Great Again,'” he said. “The hat is here to spread that message.”
He explained how the gaudy headwear was made from 24-karat gold over bronze.
“The idea is to spread the ‘Make America Great Again,’ message and to bring it into a classic art form,” he added.

Describing the two-year process of making the hat, he said: “Take a real MAGA hat, scan it, 3D print it, put it into a wax mold process and cast it into bronze.
“Then we surfaced it in 24-karat gold.”
The hat was signed by Trump in San Diego, California in 2015 before the businessman entered the White House for the first time.
Jeff’s hat was just one piece of eye-catching Trump memorabilia on display at CPAC, where MAGA swag was on sale for eager punters.
