Village Art Gallery opens on Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Village

Village Art Gallery opens in historic Cocoa Village

The Village Art Gallery has opened in historic Cocoa Village at 200 Brevard Ave. Its owners are Bruce Reigle and Teri Roper.

The Village Art Gallery currently represents 37 artists, including painters, photographers, potters, sculptors, jewelry-makers, authors and others.

New and used ukuleles and hand-painted guitars add the relaxed vibe in their own dedicated music/art room.

There also is a small workshop where picture frames and furniture are built or repaired.

Reigle, a local, notable artist, and all-around creative, has fused music and art via the humble ukulele. He and Wendi Bost from the Brevard County Library System last year started the Ukulele Lending Program in the Brevard libraries. Currently, eight libraries in Brevard County have ukuleles that can now be borrowed free of charge. The Village Art Gallery is seeking donations to fill the other nine libraries with ukuleles.

Roper is local artist, realtor and designer who attended Indiana University Herron School of Art in Indiana for illustration, fine art and art history.

The Village Art Gallery also has fine-art and drawing classes scheduled, along with a Crystal Bowl Meditation event planned for May 29. Its website has more details.

The gallery’s website is www.thecocoavillageartgallery.com, and its phone number is 321-338-3368.

Other events are planned for the near future.

The Village Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays thought Sundays, as well as after hours by appointment.

Victory Casino Cruises, the nation’s largest gaming cruise ship operator, has marked the milestone of exceeding 3 million passengers during its nearly 14 years of sailings from Port Canaveral.

Victory Casino offers casino action, combined with a five-hour ocean cruise.

Since launching from Port Canaveral, Victory Casino has made a significant economic impact on the region, contributing more than $25 million to the port and creating 350 jobs for Brevard County residents.

Victory Casino said it also has provided an excess of $800 million in economic impact to the local economy since their inaugural cruise.

Beyond its economic contributions, Victory Casino has been a supporter of the community, working hand-in-hand with charitable organizations such as Aging Matters, Hope for a Single Mom, Give Kids the World, Children’s Miracle Network, Debra’s Journey for Life, Toys for Tots, Hope4Heros, Crosswinds and others.

“This incredible milestone is a testament to the loyalty of our guests and the dedication of our amazing crew,” Victory Casino CEO Lester Bullock said. “When we first set sail, our goal was to provide a one-of-a-kind, Vegas-style gaming experience at sea, and 14 years later, we’re thrilled to say we’ve done just that — welcoming over 3 million guests who have come aboard to experience top-tier entertainment, gaming and hospitality.”

Victory Casino has continually evolved to meet the growing demand for high-quality gaming and entertainment.

The four-deck, full-service casino features over 600 of slot machines, 27 live table games, a sportsbook, bingo, a dining café with a la carte options, and live entertainment to keep guests engaged from embarkation to disembarkation. Victory Casino’s table games include blackjack, craps, roulette, three-card poker, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, Let It Ride and EZ Bac.

“Our commitment to innovation and guest satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do,” Bullock added. “We are always striving to elevate the experience, from enhancing our gaming options to offering more entertainment and dining choices. Reaching over 3 million passengers is an incredible achievement, and we’re excited for what the future holds.”

Victory Casino said it remains dedicated to delivering an unforgettable gaming and entertainment experience, while continuing to support the local economy and charitable organizations.

“Whether guests come aboard for the thrill of the casino, the excitement of live entertainment or the beauty of a cruise on the open seas, Victory Casino promises an experience like no other,” Bullock said
