Country music star Stacey Breen, hailing from Ferns Wexford, emerged triumphant at a recent music award ceremony as she took home the prize for ‘Best Female Artist.’

The Irish Entertainment Awards took place on Tuesday, October 29 in the The Great Northern Hotel Bundoran. The annual awards celebrate the success and potential of rising and current entertainment stars around the country.

Among the attendance was a host of industry heavyweights such as Dana, the Whistling Donkeys, Pat Shortt, Declan Nerney, John Hogan, Mick Flavin and the Dublin City Ramblers.

The night was hosted by the charismatic duo, Chrissy Mac and Keltic Country TV & Radio’s own top DJ, Kevin Byrne. Special guest on the night was X Factor’s Mary Byrne who astounded viewers with her powerful voice on the cult show back in 2010.

Speaking on her win, Stacey said: “It was a great achievement to get this award on the night. I am over the moon! Thanks to everyone for their support throughout the years since I started my career.”

Stacey burst onto the music scene when she was only 14 years old and has seen enormous success. Just last year her hit song 3 Way Love Affair saw great playing time across radio stations and social media.

She is also highly sought after for gigs around the country including the annual Country Fest in Bree.
