Women’s History Month Event In Newark: Art Panel, Library Cards

NEWARK, NJ — Audible and the Newark Public Library will team up to present an upcoming event in celebration of Women’s History Month with the Newark Artist Collaboration.

The free, public event will begin at 5 p.m. at 5 Washington Street on Tuesday, March 5.

According to a news release:

“The evening will commence with the reveal of limited-edition library cards featuring the latest artists from the Newark Artist Collaboration, including Shoshanna Weinberger, Danielle Scott, and Kelley Prevard, alongside a special children’s card showcasing the work of artist duo Cazorla + Saleme. Following the card debut, we invite you to attend the Women in Public Arts Panel, showcasing distinguished artists and notable figures within the domain of the public art sphere, including artists behind the Newark Artist Collaboration’s new multi-site installation surrounding Tubman Square. The panel will also feature Aisha Glover, Head of Audible’s Global Center for Urban Development, and Rebecca Jampol, lead coordinator for the Newark Artist Collaboration and co-director of Project for Empty Space, and will be moderated by Lauren Craig, Executive Director of Newark Arts.”

The limited-edition library cards will also be available to the public throughout the month at all of Newark’s Public Library branches.
