It’s Sunday once more, and you know what that means — it’s time for our weekly social media roundup! With the local basketball season in the rearview mirror and football still months away, we are officially in that time of year ruled by baseball: the summer (even if the solstice isn’t for another handful of days). What have the Yankees been up to this week when they’ve been off the diamond? Let’s find out!
Dellin’s YES Adventures
This past week, former Yankees relief ace Dellin Betances joined the YES Network in the studio to cover the Yankees/Royals series in Kansas City. To prepare, he visited the Stadium last week, where he brought his young son to show him where his dad used to work.
While with the Network, the social media team had him join in on some of their normal shenanigans.
And here’s a little taste of Dellin’s YES work, too:
Jazz loves the trash talk
If there’s one thing you know about Jazz Chisholm Jr., it’s that he likes to wear his heart on his sleeve. Some might say that this has gotten him into some hot water, making some enemies on other teams. He, though, will be the first to tell you that good trash talk—as demonstrated this past week by a certain Red Sox player who pitched well but has an unreliable source—is great for the game.
I think there should be more trash talk in baseball!!! Anyone agrees!? Anyway free smoke at 7 ♂️ ️

Taking the subway to the Stadium
Last weekend, Yankees radio broadcaster Dave Sims took the subway to work. Coincidentally, who did he meet up with on the train but a trio of Red Sox pitchers! No surprise that the Fordham product Weissert knows his way around the subway.
Return to the Gil
Reigning Rookie of the Year Luis Gil was in the Bronx this week, as he took his next steps in his return to the mound — though he’s still a couple weeks from facing live at-bats. The right-hander has been on the injured list since Opening Day.
Of course, it wasn’t all fun and games during his time in New York.
Tauchman’s baby comes to the stadium
Once a Yankee, always a Yankee. Current White Sox outfielder Mike Tauchman brought his infant child to the ballpark for the first time this week.
Mike and Molly’s visit to the Bronx
I’m not going to comment on this one. Just watch:
YES gets on a social media trend…I think?
I’m really not sure what’s going on here, except that the YES Network is using its theme song in a meme again.
