In reality, it is a social network populated exclusively by artificial intelligences. You are the only human, surrounded by algorithms capable of interacting as supporters or critics.
The idea comes from Michael Sayman, who was inspired by X (formerly Twitter). The app, available on iOS, allows you to choose your “followers,” entirely generated by AIs. These virtual profiles react to your posts with varied responses. You thus get the impression of being listened to, even admired.
Users can select different types of interactions. Whether fanatical or critical, the AIs respond to messages in either the most enthusiastic or the most biting manner.
Michael Sayman stated that his project was born from a desire to make the use of social networks more rewarding. He even jokes about being able to “feel what Elon Musk experiences,” but without spending the 44 billion dollars that the latter shelled out to buy Twitter.
However, this illusion of fame raises deeper questions. Saturated with AI, do our interactions lose their authenticity? Does receiving an avalanche of programmed likes or comments suffice to satisfy our need to be heard?

Users may quickly feel affirmed in their opinions, which can increase their self-confidence. However, this artificial over-validation can also limit exposure to differing viewpoints, reducing open-mindedness and critical thinking.
