Just two days after country star Zach Bryan announced he would headline the first-ever concert at Michigan Stadium, he let fans know Friday that the historic show has sold out.
“You guys just sold out the biggest ticketed show in American history,” the Oklahoma star wrote on Instagram. “I owe you my life, my humility and every ounce of effort I have. I love y’all more than any song.”
The Sept. 27 concert, which also includes John Mayer, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone, will look to break the North American attendance record for concerts. That was set in June 2024 when George Strait packed 110,905 people into Texas A&M’s Kyle Field.
Michigan Stadium — the Big House, the largest stadium in the U.S. — has a capacity of 107,601 for football games. For Bryan’s concert tickets have been sold in the stands as well as in several seating sections on the field surrounding the stage.
The concert, during which alcohol sales will be permitted (also something new to the stadium), falls on a bye week for UM football.
As of Friday afternoon tickets were not totally sold out through the official channel, axs.com. The few remaining tickets were largely premium seating sections or single seats. Tickets are also being resold on third-party ticketing sites like Stubhub.com.
“Thank you so much for having us @uofmichigan, we won’t let you down,” wrote Bryan, tagging the university on Instagram.
